Front reed spiral wire / rail baulk

The front reed with “spiral wire baulk” shows the basic model of weaving reeds for narrow fabrics. It is used for light and medium weight fabrics. The variant “rail baulk” contains an additional reinforcement in the upper baulk and is mainly used for heavy fabrics. Common rods are 3, 4 and 5 mm in both types. On the basis of the next illustration “reinforced / changeable dents” it is possible to combine the 4 different versions. The first two illustrations can also be used as a template for CTM / Metag reeds with bar material 8 / 10 mm.
